Great news! The collaborative project of Suqian Times Energy Storage has won the 2025 China Electricity Council Power Innovation Award for the second prize
Recently, the China Electricity Council (hereinafter referred to as "CEC") officially announced the list of award-winning achievements for the 2025 Electricity Innovation Award. The project titled "Collaborative Energy Storage Flexible Ramping Technology Equipment and Engineering Application for Coal-fired Power Generating Units to Support Energy Transformation", jointly developed by Suqian Times Energy Storage Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Suqian Times Energy Storage") and Northwest Electric Power Test Research Institute of China Datang Corporation Science and Technology Research Institute Co., Ltd., among other units, successfully won the second prize for electricity innovation due to its outstanding innovation, practicality, and promotional value.

The China Electricity Council Power Innovation Award is one of the most authoritative science and technology awards in China's power industry. It aims to implement the national innovation development strategy, accelerate the transformation of energy and power technology innovation achievements, and enhance the industry's independent innovation capabilities. The winning project focuses on the key pain points of energy transformation, addressing industry challenges such as the insufficient flexibility of traditional coal-fired units and the limited capacity for new energy consumption. It has established a technical system for the coordinated operation of coal-fired units and energy storage systems, developed a series of core equipment, and achieved engineering application, providing an efficient solution for the transformation of coal-fired power units into supportive and regulating power sources.
As a core participating unit of the project, Suqian Times Energy Storage fully leverages its R&D and industrialization advantages in the field of new energy storage technology, integrating its proprietary innovative aqueous organic flow battery technology into the design of collaborative energy storage systems. This technology possesses inherent safety, ultra-long cycle life, and environmental friendliness, enabling millisecond-level response coordination with coal-fired units. It effectively enhances the unit's ramp rate and peak shaving and frequency modulation capabilities, while significantly enhancing the consumption capacity of new energy, yielding significant economic, social, and ecological benefits.
In the future, Suqian Times Energy Storage will leverage this award as an opportunity to continuously deepen extensive collaborative cooperation with leading enterprises and research institutes in the industry. It will focus on tackling core technologies for new energy storage and expanding scenario-based applications, promoting the implementation and transformation of more innovative achievements, and contributing more to building a clean, low-carbon, safe, and efficient energy system, thereby supporting the achievement of the national "dual carbon" goals.
